He Makes All Things New!

Coming off of the Resurrection weekend my mind starts to think about how awesome our God really is and how no matter how hopeless something in our life may seem: our dreams, our goals, our plans, or our marriage, God is able to restore and resurrect them all!

I have spoken to my fair share of women who are really struggling with their marriages and many times it seems as if it’s at the end of the line and all hope is gone. Looking back a few years ago I can honestly attest that I was in the exact same boat. I’m thankful that God allowed me to go through all of that to be able to stand as a witness today to say that restoration, resurrection & reconciliation is possible!

If we allow God to steer our emotions, our thoughts and ultimately our actions, we will find ourselves in a shifted reality that is much better than the one we currently find ourselves in. It’s important to realize and come to grips with the fact that you and I are human, born into sin, filled with selfish desires. None of us are perfect beings (and this includes our husbands). We all do the best we can everyday and God understands and granted us the privilege of having the Holy Spirit intercede on our behalf.

The Bible says that, “… a righteous man falls 7 times and then gets back up again.” Proverbs 24:16

Notice that the word righteous was before the word man. We’re not any less righteous because we fall, but the redemption is in getting back up again. God has promised to forgive us (1 John 1:9), strengthen us (Isaiah 41:10), restore us (1 Peter 5:10), and grant us what we seek for in prayer, once we believe we have received what we have asked for (Mark 11:24). It doesn’t matter what you may have gone through in life, you are never too far away from receiving God’s grace & love & favor. It doesn’t matter how dead your marriage may seem, God’s grace is sufficient for you and your husband and He has promised to never leave or forsake us. Take time in prayer today and bring your petitions before the Lord. He CAN & He WILL make all things new!

MY PRAYER FOR YOU: “Dear Lord, I pray for the woman (or man) who may be reading this post. I pray that you will warm their hearts with your love and strengthen their souls today. I pray for restoration in whatever area in their life that seems to be dead, dried up or lifeless. I speak life to their dreams, I pray restoration within their marriage and I pray for a renewed fire and passion for you in Jesus name. Remind them Lord that You are God and that you are able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that they could ever dream think or imagine if only they would trust you and believe. And so I stand in faith and agreement with them that all things have become new and we speak a new day in their lives. In Jesus mighty name, Amen!”
