Seeing Yourself Through God’s Eyes

Key Scripture: Psalm 139:14 (NLT)

“Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”

Devotional

Understanding your relationship with yourself begins by seeing yourself as God does. You are not an accident—you are intentional workmanship, formed with care and purpose.

Many of us extend grace to others while withholding it from ourselves. We replay mistakes, compare journeys, and measure worth by productivity or approval. God invites us to replace harsh inner dialogue with truth.

Seeing yourself through God’s eyes doesn’t ignore areas of growth—it reframes them. Instead of shame, there is compassion. Instead of pressure, there is patience.

Today is an invitation to agree with what God says about you, even when it feels unfamiliar.

Scripture Insight

God’s workmanship reflects intention, beauty, and care—never mistake.

Heart Check

Do your thoughts about yourself align more with criticism or with God’s truth?

Practice Today

  • Speak Psalm 139:14 aloud.
  • Write down one negative thought you often believe.
  • Replace it with God’s truth from Scripture.
  • Thank God for creating you intentionally.

Reflection: How might your inner world change if you believed God’s view of you?

Prayer: Father, help me see myself as You see me. Replace criticism with truth and shame with grace. Teach me to honor Your workmanship in me. Amen.
