Bring the Mountain to God

Scripture

“Have faith in God.” – Mark 11:22

Devotional

As we close this week of bold prayer, let us come back to the simple command of Jesus: have faith in God. The power is not in the mountain. The power is not even in our ability to sound spiritual. The power is in the God we are trusting.

Bring the mountain to God. Bring the impossible thing. Bring the fear. Bring the disappointment. Bring the marriage concern. Bring the financial need. Bring the diagnosis. Bring the child. Bring the family burden. Bring the ministry assignment. Bring the hidden ache in your heart.

You do not have to carry it alone. You do not have to solve it alone. You do not have to pretend it is not heavy. Prayer is the place where we bring our real burdens to a real Father.

Sometimes we think faith means we should not feel the weight. But faith means we know where to take the weight. We take it to God. We take it in prayer. We take it with Scripture. We take it with worship. We take it in community with sisters who can agree with us.

Do not let shame keep you silent. Do not let disappointment keep you guarded. Do not let the size of the mountain make you forget the greatness of God.

Today, name the mountain before the Lord. Then surrender it. Pray boldly, but trust deeply. Ask God to move it, change it, heal it, provide for it, restore it, or give you wisdom and strength to walk through it with Him.

Whatever He does, you can trust Him. He is faithful with every mountain we place in His hands.

Prayer

Father, I bring my mountain to You. I cannot carry it alone, and I do not want to try. Help me pray boldly, trust deeply, and rest in Your faithfulness. Move in Your power and wisdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection

What mountain do you need to intentionally place in God’s hands today?
