Key Scripture
1 Corinthians 12:18 (KJV)
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
Devotional
Comparison can make us feel unnecessary in a place where God has invited us to contribute. We notice another woman’s confidence, knowledge, or ability and begin wondering whether anything we offer will matter.
Paul describes the church as a body with many members. Different parts serve different purposes, and God has arranged them according to His wisdom. The body benefits from their cooperation and mutual care.
When we compare our gift with someone else’s, we can miss the need that our own contribution would meet. A gifted speaker still needs faithful support, and a strong leader still needs people who bring wisdom, mercy, and practical help.
Sister, there is room to celebrate another woman without shrinking yourself. You can learn from her while remaining grateful for the way God has equipped you to serve. Her fruitfulness does not take away your opportunity to be faithful.
Ask God to help you see where your contribution fits within your church, family, or community. As you serve alongside others, remember that the purpose is to build people up together and point them toward Christ.
Heart Check
Where has comparison made me hesitate to contribute?

- Thank God for one gift you see in another woman.

- Offer your help in a setting where that contribution is needed.
Prayer
Lord, free my heart from comparison and help me appreciate Your wisdom in giving different gifts. Teach me to serve alongside others with joy. Show me where my contribution can strengthen the body of Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.
