Jesus taught that wisdom is not just hearing the Word—it is obeying it. A life built on Scripture is a life prepared for storms. Obedience creates strength long before pressure arrives.

Storms reveal foundations. They expose whether we have built on convenience or conviction, on emotion or truth. The woman who builds on God’s Word is not promised a storm-free life, but she is promised stability in the middle of one.

Sometimes obedience feels costly in the moment. But it is always wiser to build slowly on truth than quickly on sand. The Word of God forms a foundation that can hold the weight of real life.

Today, consider where God is asking you not just to hear His Word, but to put it into practice.

Prayer

Jesus, I want my life to be built on the rock of Your Word. Give me the grace to obey what You say, even when it is difficult. Strengthen my foundation so I can stand firm in every season. Amen.
