Ask, Seek, and Learn

Key Scripture: Proverbs 2:3–5 (NIV)

If you call out for insight … then you will understand the fear of the Lord.

Devotional

Studying the Word is not a passive activity. Proverbs teaches us to ask, seek, and search for wisdom like treasure. God honors that kind of hunger. He reveals Himself to those who pursue understanding with sincerity.

Some believers stay shallow in Scripture because they want instant answers without patient seeking. But God often deepens us through the process. As we ask questions, compare passages, and pray for insight, our roots grow stronger.

The woman who seeks wisdom learns to move beyond surface reading. She listens for God’s heart, not just familiar phrases. Over time, study becomes worship because it draws her closer to the One who spoke the Word.

Today, bring your questions to God and ask Him to teach you as you seek Him.

Prayer

Father, stir up fresh hunger in me for Your truth. Help me seek wisdom like treasure and pursue understanding with joy. Open my eyes as I study, and let Your Word lead me into deeper reverence for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
