April Theme: The Word of God – Kingdom Constitution

Key Scripture

2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NIV)
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Devotional Thought

This April, we’re focusing on The Word of God: Kingdom Constitution — because if we are going to live as Kingdom citizens, we must understand the authority we live under.

Last month, we learned about the Kingdom.
This month, we learn how the Kingdom operates.

The Word of God is not just a book we read — it is the foundation we build our lives on. It is truth, instruction, correction, and direction. In a world full of opinions, shifting values, and constant noise, the Word of God remains unchanging and final.

Many believers struggle not because they don’t love God, but because they don’t know His Word deeply enough to stand on it. Without the Word, it’s easy to be misled, discouraged, or uncertain. But when we are rooted in Scripture, we gain clarity, confidence, and strength.

This month, we’re not just reading the Word — we’re learning how to live by it, apply it, and stand on it daily.

This month, we’ll walk through the Word in practical ways:

Week 1: The Authority of God’s Word
→ Understanding the Bible as final truth and Kingdom law

Week 2: Studying and Interpreting Scripture
→ Learning how to rightly divide and understand the Word

Week 3: Speaking and Standing on the Word
→ Using Scripture in prayer, trials, and spiritual warfare

Week 4: Defending the Faith
→ Responding to deception and opposition with truth

Week 5: Meditating on God’s Word
→ Allowing Scripture to transform our thoughts and daily lives

  • How can you become more intentional about reading, studying, and applying Scripture daily?

Prayer for the Month

Father, give me a deeper hunger for Your Word. Teach me to understand it, apply it, and stand on it with confidence. Let Your truth guide my thoughts, my decisions, and my life. Help me not just to hear Your Word, but to live it daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
