Rest rarely happens accidentally. In a full life, we often have to make room for it intentionally.
Jesus recognized when His disciples needed to step away from constant activity. Their need for rest was not treated as weakness or a lack of commitment.
As we prepare for the Rest & Renewal challenge, consider what may need to become quieter. A crowded schedule, constant notifications, or the pressure to remain available can make it difficult to receive what God wants to give.
You do not need to create a perfect retreat. A few protected minutes, an open Bible, and an honest heart can become sacred space.
Prepare tonight by choosing when and where you will meet with God. Making room is already an act of faith.

Prayer
Jesus, help me make room for You. Show me what needs to become quieter and give me discipline to protect this time. Prepare my heart to receive rest, renewal, and direction from Your presence. Amen.
