Preparing for What’s Ahead

Key Scripture: Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it…

Devotional

Preparing for what’s ahead is less about having a perfect plan and more about having a listening heart. God guides those who are willing to follow, even when the next step is small.

As the year closes, it’s tempting to rush into goals and resolutions. But God often starts with alignment—making sure your heart is soft, your motives are pure, and your spirit is attentive.

Preparation includes prayer, reflection, and readiness to obey. God’s direction is often clearer when we slow down enough to hear it.

Today, ask God: “What are You preparing me for?” Then listen with humility and expectation.

Scripture Insight

Isaiah 30:21 promises guidance to those who remain attentive. God leads with clarity as we walk with Him.

Heart Check

Are you asking God to bless your plans—or inviting Him to shape your plans?

Practice Today

  • Pray for clarity about one area of 2026 (faith, family, health, calling).
  • Write down any direction you sense God highlighting.
  • Ask: “What do I need to release to be ready?”
  • Take one preparatory step (schedule, budget, boundary, habit).

Reflection: What might God be trying to prepare in you before He changes what’s around you?

Prayer: Lord, prepare me for what’s ahead. Give me a listening spirit and a willing heart. Align my motives, order my steps, and help me obey You with faith. Lead me in the way I should go. Amen.
