Key Scripture: Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world…
Devotional
Many spiritual battles are missed because they do not look spiritual at first.
Sometimes the enemy works quietly through discouragement, confusion, offense, temptation, fear, distraction, or division. What appears natural on the surface may actually have deeper spiritual roots underneath it.
Paul reminds believers that our true battle is not against flesh and blood. People are not the real enemy. The enemy wants believers fighting each other while remaining blind to the spiritual attacks happening beneath the surface.
This is why discernment matters so much.
Spiritual warfare is not about becoming fearful or obsessed with darkness. It is about becoming spiritually aware and rooted in truth. The closer you walk with God, the more clearly you begin to recognize unhealthy patterns, lies, temptation, and attacks before they gain influence.
God does not want His children anxious or paranoid. He wants them spiritually alert, grounded, prayerful, and wise.
Today, ask God to help you see clearly and respond spiritually instead of reacting emotionally.
Heart Check
Have you been responding emotionally to battles that actually require spiritual wisdom and prayer?

Father, open my eyes to the spiritual battles happening around me. Give me discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics without becoming fearful or overwhelmed.
