Key Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (NIV)
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world… they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
Devotional
Strongholds are not always dramatic outward sins or visible struggles. Often, they are deeply rooted patterns of thinking that oppose God’s truth.
Fear can become a stronghold. Bitterness can become a stronghold. Shame, insecurity, pride, lust, anger, hopelessness, comparison, and unforgiveness can all quietly take root over time.
The enemy wants those patterns to feel permanent. But Scripture says God’s power demolishes strongholds.
Freedom begins when lies are exposed and surrendered to truth.
Strongholds weaken when believers consistently choose truth over deception, surrender over pride, obedience over compromise, and prayer over passivity.
Breaking spiritual strongholds is usually a process, not a single emotional moment. God transforms us through daily surrender and renewed thinking.
Today, ask God to reveal any unhealthy mindset or spiritual pattern that has quietly gained influence in your life.
