Key Scripture: Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
Devotional
Waiting seasons can feel deeply spiritual and deeply frustrating at the same time.
You pray. You trust. You obey. And still, some answers seem delayed.
The enemy often uses waiting to plant discouragement, impatience, or doubt. He whispers: “Nothing is changing.†“God forgot you.†“Your prayers aren’t working.â€
But waiting does not mean God is absent.
Sometimes God is strengthening endurance, deepening trust, refining motives, or preparing timing that we cannot yet see.
Waiting stretches faith because it forces dependence beyond immediate outcomes.
The world teaches urgency. The Kingdom teaches trust.
God’s timing is rarely rushed, but it is always intentional.
Today, choose trust even if clarity has not fully arrived yet.
Heart Check
What situation has become difficult to trust God with because of delay?
Practice Today
- Pray honestly about your frustration instead of hiding it.
- Read Isaiah 40 slowly and meditate on God’s strength.
- Thank God for one thing He has already brought you through before.
Prayer
Lord, help me trust You in the waiting. Strengthen me when answers feel delayed and uncertainty feels heavy. Guard my heart from discouragement and remind me that Your timing is intentional and good. Renew my strength and help me remain faithful while I wait on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
