Be filled with the Spirit.
Devotional
Paul tells believers to “be filled with the Spirit.” He is speaking to people who already belong to Christ, which shows us that life in the Spirit is not merely about one past moment. We are called to live continually yielded to His influence.
To be filled is to make room. A cup cannot be full of two things at once. If our inner lives are crowded with resentment, noise, self-reliance, hurry, and constant distraction, we may still have the Spirit, but we are not allowing Him to govern us freely.
Being filled is not something we achieve by trying to feel spiritual. It is a posture of surrender: Holy Spirit, have more of me. Govern my thoughts. Direct my desires. Fill my speech. Influence my reactions. Shape my priorities.
You may feel spiritually tired at the end of this month. Do not confuse tiredness with failure. Come back to the Source. Ask to be filled again—not so you can chase a feeling, but so you can continue living surrendered.
Being filled is not about chasing a feeling. It is about yielding more of yourself to the Spirit’s influence again and again.

- Pray simply, “Holy Spirit, fill every surrendered place in me.”
Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh. I yield my mind, desires, reactions, plans, and words to You. Remove what crowds out Your influence and make my life responsive to Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
