Scripture
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Devotional
Walking by faith sounds beautiful until God asks us to keep walking without the full picture. We like clarity. We like details. We like knowing how long it will take, how it will happen, and what the outcome will look like. But faith often requires movement before full understanding.
Second Corinthians tells us that we walk by faith, not by sight. Notice it says walk. That means faith is not only something we believe in our hearts. It affects our steps. It affects how we respond, how we pray, how we speak, how we wait, and how we obey.
There will be seasons when what you see does not match what you are believing God for. You may be praying for peace in your home while still seeing tension. You may be believing for provision while still facing pressure. You may be trusting God for healing while still feeling pain. Walking by faith means you do not let what you see become the final authority over what God has said.
This does not mean we become irresponsible or ignore wisdom. It means we invite God into our decisions and trust Him beyond our own limited perspective. It means we keep doing the next right thing even when we cannot see the whole road.
Sister, you may not have the whole plan today, but you can take the next step with God. You can pray today. You can forgive today. You can choose peace today. You can speak life today. You can obey the last thing God told you today.
Faith is often built one step at a time. Do not despise the small step. Your obedience today may be part of the path God is using to lead you into something greater.
Prayer
Lord, help me walk by faith and not by sight. When I cannot see the full picture, remind me that You can. Give me courage to take the next step with You and trust You with what I cannot control. In Jesus’ name, amen.
