Key Scripture: Luke 24:45 (NIV)
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
Devotional
Understanding Scripture is ultimately a grace from God. Jesus opened the minds of His disciples so they could truly grasp what had been written. This reminds us that spiritual insight is not earned by intellect alone.
There is a humility in saying, “Lord, open my mind.” That prayer keeps us dependent on Him. It shifts Bible study from a purely academic exercise into a relational one. We are not just analyzing a text; we are meeting the Author.
When God opens our understanding, verses we once skimmed begin to shine. Connections deepen, truth becomes personal, and our hearts burn with renewed faith.
Today, don’t rush into the Word casually. Ask Jesus to open your mind and heart before you read.
Prayer
Jesus, open my mind to understand the Scriptures. Remove confusion, deepen my insight, and help me see Your heart in the Word. Teach me by Your Spirit and draw me into truth. Amen.
