Scripture
“Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart… he shall have whatsoever he saith.” – Mark 11:23
Devotional
Sometimes the mountain looks so big that it takes over our thoughts. We wake up thinking about it. We go to sleep thinking about it. We talk about it, worry about it, plan around it, and sometimes even start living as if it will always be there.
But Jesus teaches us that mountains are not meant to intimidate our faith. He points us back to God and then tells us that faith speaks. Faith does not simply sit under the weight of the mountain. Faith brings that mountain under the authority of God.
Your mountain may be a long-standing issue in your marriage. It may be fear, debt, grief, a broken relationship, discouragement, or something no one else even knows you are carrying. Whatever it is, the mountain may be real, but it is not sovereign. It does not have the final say. God does.
Sometimes we magnify the mountain without realizing it. We talk more about what is wrong than we talk about who God is. We meditate more on the problem than on the promise. We give fear more airtime than faith.
Today, shift your focus. Not in denial, but in worship. Name the mountain, then name the God who is greater. Say, “This is hard, but God is faithful.” Say, “This looks impossible, but God is able.” Say, “I do not know how, but I know Who holds me.”
Sister, do not let the size of the mountain silence your prayers. Let it drive you closer to the Father. The mountain may be in front of you, but God is with you, and He is greater than what you face.
Prayer
Father, I bring my mountain before You today. Help me stop magnifying the problem above Your power. Teach me to speak faith, pray with confidence, and trust that You are greater than every obstacle before me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
