Devotional

Faith often asks us to believe before we see. That is not easy because we are used to letting evidence lead us. We want proof first, then confidence. We want results first, then peace. We want the situation to change first, then faith.

But Jesus teaches us to pray and believe. Faith reaches for God’s Word before natural evidence arrives. Faith chooses trust before the answer is visible.

This does not mean we pretend the answer has manifested when it has not. It means we settle our confidence in God before the manifestation. We believe that He hears us. We believe that He is working. We believe that His will is good. We believe that His timing is wise. We believe that He is able.

Sister, if you are waiting to see it before you believe it, you may be letting sight lead. But we are called to walk by faith. There will be times when God asks you to pray with expectation while the room still looks empty, while the marriage still feels tense, while the account still looks low, while the child is still struggling, while your heart is still healing.

Believing before you see it is not foolish when your faith is in God. It is worship. It says, “Lord, I trust Your Word more than my current view.”

Today, ask God to help you shift from proof-based peace to faith-based peace. Do not demand visible evidence before you trust Him. Bring the request, believe He hears you, and rest in His hands.

The answer belongs to God. The timing belongs to God. The faithfulness belongs to God. Your part is to pray, trust, and keep walking with Him.

Prayer

Lord, help me believe before I see. Teach me to trust that You hear me and that You are working, even when the evidence is not yet visible. Strengthen my faith as I wait. In Jesus’ name, amen.
