Devotional

Some of us need permission to ask again. Not because God stopped listening, but because disappointment taught us to stop asking. We asked once, maybe many times, and when the answer did not come how or when we expected, something in us pulled back.

We still love God. We still believe in Him. We still pray for others. But when it comes to our own deep desire, we hesitate. We protect ourselves by lowering expectation. We say, “It is fine,” when it is not fine. We say, “I do not want to ask too much,” when the truth is we are afraid to hope again.

Sister, bring that place to God. He is gentle with wounded faith. He is not angry that you have been disappointed. He is inviting you to trust Him with your heart again.

Asking again is not about demanding a specific outcome. It is about refusing to let pain close the conversation with God. It is about coming back to the Father and saying, “Lord, this still matters to me. I still need You here. I still believe You are able.”

Maybe you need to ask again for healing. Ask again for wisdom. Ask again for restoration. Ask again for provision. Ask again for salvation. Ask again for peace. Ask again for strength to forgive. Ask again for joy to return.

Do not let delay silence your prayers. Do not let fear become the shepherd of your hope. God is still listening. God is still Father. God is still able.

Today, ask again. With surrender. With humility. With faith. With an open heart before God.

Prayer

Father, heal the places where disappointment has made me afraid to ask again. I bring my heart back to You. Help me pray with renewed faith, surrendered trust, and honest hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.
