God Can Do More

Scripture

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…” – Ephesians 3:20

Devotional

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. That means our imagination is not the limit of God’s ability. Our request is not the ceiling of His power. Our understanding is not the boundary of His wisdom.

Sister, God can do more.

He can do more in your marriage than you can see right now. He can do more in your children than your fear imagines. He can do more in your finances, your healing, your purpose, your ministry, your heart, and your family than you have even thought to ask.

Sometimes we reduce God to the size of our disappointment. We pray based on what happened last time. We ask based on what feels realistic. We believe based on what we can explain. But this verse stretches us. It reminds us that God is not limited to our categories.

This does not mean God will always do everything exactly the way we picture it. His “more” may look different than our plan. It may be deeper healing instead of a quick fix. It may be transformation in us while He works on the situation. It may be provision through an unexpected door. It may be peace that carries us while we wait.

But whatever form it takes, God is able to exceed our understanding.

Today, let this verse enlarge your faith. Ask boldly, but also leave room for God to do more than your request. Pray for the thing on your heart, and then trust Him to move with wisdom greater than yours.

Do not place small limits on an unlimited God. He is able to do more than we ask, more than we think, and more than we can imagine.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You are able to do more than I can ask or think. Stretch my faith beyond fear and disappointment. Help me trust Your power, Your wisdom, and Your way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
