Devotional
We live in a world overflowing with voices. Advice comes from social media, friends, family, experts, influencers, our emotions, our fears, and our own past experiences. Some voices are helpful; others are loud but unreliable. Jesus called the Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth because He will never lead us away from what is true about God, Scripture, or the character of Christ.
That gives us an important safeguard. The Holy Spirit will not contradict the Word He inspired. He will not tell us that bitterness is acceptable because someone hurt us, that compromise is wisdom because obedience is inconvenient, or that pride is confidence because we feel justified. His guidance may comfort us, but it will also confront us. Truth does both.
Sometimes what we call confusion is actually resistance. We know what Scripture says, but we are hoping for another answer. We ask God for direction while quietly reserving the right to reject whatever costs us too much. The Spirit of truth lovingly exposes those places. His conviction is not condemnation. He points out what is wrong so He can lead us toward what is right.
If you want to become sensitive to the Holy Spirit, become a woman who loves truth even when truth corrects you. Read Scripture not merely to find confirmation for what you already believe, but to be transformed. The Spirit has much to say to a heart that is willing to be taught.
Ask God to make you a woman who loves truth more than comfort. The Spirit will faithfully lead a surrendered heart toward what honors Jesus.

- Ask God to expose one belief, habit, or attitude in you that needs correction.
- Choose truth over convenience in one decision today.
Prayer
Spirit of truth, lead me into what is true. Remove deception, excuses, and self-justification from my heart. Give me a love for Scripture and the humility to receive correction. Make my life increasingly aligned with Jesus. Amen.
