The Time God Has Entrusted to You

Key Scripture

Ephesians 5:15–16 (KJV)

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Devotional

Sister, before we talk about managing our calendars, let us remember who gave us the days we are planning. Our time is a gift from God, and the way we use it can reflect our love for Him and the people He has entrusted to us.

Paul encourages believers to walk wisely and redeem the time. He is calling us to recognize the opportunities around us instead of drifting through life without considering what matters.

Sometimes a day feels full because everyone needs something, yet we reach bedtime wondering whether we gave attention to what God actually asked of us. Being busy can make it difficult to notice that difference.

Wise stewardship begins with bringing our responsibilities before the Lord. Prayer, caring for our families, honest work, service, and needed rest can all honor Him when we approach them with love and purpose.

As we begin October, ask God to help you see your days clearly. You do not need to fix your entire schedule today, but you can choose one way to give your time more intentionally.

Heart Check

Does the way I spend my time reflect what I say matters most?

Practice Today

  1. Ask God to show you one priority for this month.
  2. Write down where most of your time currently goes.
  3. Make space today for one responsibility you have been neglecting.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the days You have given me. Teach me to walk wisely and recognize the opportunities before me. Help me use my time with love, purpose, and obedience instead of simply filling my schedule. In Jesus’ name, amen.
