Key Scripture
2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV)
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Devotional
A gift can be genuine and still need development. We may have a desire to teach, serve, lead, or create, yet feel discouraged when the first attempt does not look like someone else’s years of experience.
Paul reminded Timothy to stir up the gift of God within him. Timothy was encouraged to remain active and courageous in what God had entrusted to him rather than allowing fear to determine his response.
For us, faithful development may involve studying Scripture, practicing a skill, receiving feedback, or learning from a mature believer. Preparation gives us more tools to serve people responsibly and well.
Sister, being teachable does not diminish your calling. It shows that you care about the people who will be affected by your service. Growth often comes through repeated small efforts that do not feel impressive at first.
Choose one step that will strengthen what you have been given. You do not need to master everything before you begin, but you can take your preparation seriously and trust God to help you grow as you serve.
