Key Scripture
Colossians 3:23 (KJV)
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Devotional
There are days when the work before us feels ordinary and repetitive. We answer familiar questions, clean what will become messy again, and finish tasks that seem unlikely to receive much attention.
Paul encourages believers to work wholeheartedly as unto the Lord. This perspective gives meaning to the attitude we bring into our responsibilities, even when the task itself feels unremarkable.
We can honor God through careful work, honest effort, and respectful treatment of others. Whether we are earning a paycheck, caring for a home, studying, or volunteering, our choices can reflect faithfulness.
Sister, wholehearted work still requires wisdom about capacity. Excellence does not mean perfection, and diligence does not require ignoring your need for rest. You can do your part responsibly without treating every task as a test of your worth.
Choose one assignment today and approach it with a renewed heart. Ask what a faithful effort would look like, then give it appropriate attention. Ordinary work offered to God can become a place where gratitude, discipline, and love grow together.
