If you hold to my teaching … then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Devotional

True freedom is not found in ignoring God’s Word, but in abiding in it. Jesus said freedom comes as we continue in His teaching. Truth liberates us from bondage, lies, and misplaced loyalties.

Many people resist truth because they assume it will restrict them. But the opposite is often true. God’s truth frees us from the tyranny of sin, confusion, and false identity. It brings us into the spacious place of living rightly before Him.

Freedom grows where truth is welcomed, obeyed, and held onto over time. Abiding matters. A passing glance at truth cannot produce what a rooted life in truth can.

Today, hold tightly to the teaching of Jesus and receive the freedom He gives.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for truth that sets me free. Help me abide in Your teaching and let Your Word uproot every lie that keeps me bound. Lead me into the freedom of wholehearted obedience. Amen.
