Key Scripture
Psalm 95:6 (NIV) “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”
Worship is far more than music. It is more than a Sunday service. It is more than singing songs we enjoy.
Worship is the posture of a surrendered heart. It is how we respond to who God is.
Throughout Scripture, worship was never limited to melodies or instruments. Worship happened through obedience, sacrifice, gratitude, surrender, reverence, prayer, and devotion. Worship invited God’s presence into impossible situations. Worship shifted atmospheres. Worship strengthened weary hearts. Worship reminded God’s people where their help truly came from.
This month at The Praying Wife, we are focusing on The Power of Worship; learning what it means to truly worship God not only with our words, but with our lives.
In difficult seasons, worship helps us keep our eyes on God instead of becoming consumed by fear, disappointment, frustration, or discouragement. Worship re-centers the heart. It reminds us that God is still holy, still faithful, still present, and still worthy regardless of what we face.
Throughout June, we will explore:
What to Expect This Month:
- Daily devotionals centered on worship and surrender
- Teaching on the spiritual power of worship
- Encouragement to deepen intimacy with God
- Reflection on worship during difficult seasons
- Weekly discussions focused on spiritual growth and God’s presence
- Bible App encouragement through our new plan: Praying Over My Marriage
Although we are taking a short break from releasing new podcast episodes this month, we believe June will be a beautiful opportunity to slow down, refocus, and simply sit in God’s presence.
This month is not about performance or perfection, but rather about God’s presence.
Worship is not just something we do. Worship is who we become when our hearts fully belong to God.
Prayer for the Month
Father, teach me to become a true worshipper. Help me worship You not only with my words, but with my heart, my choices, my obedience, and my life. Strengthen me to worship through every season — in joy, in waiting, in uncertainty, and in victory. Draw me closer to Your presence this month and let my life bring glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
