Devotional
Romans says that those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Notice the word led. The Holy Spirit leads; He does not manipulate us with panic. Many women live driven by fear—fear of disappointing people, missing an opportunity, falling behind, or making the wrong decision. Fear rushes. The Spirit may prompt urgently at times, but His leadership remains consistent with the peace and character of God.
One way to grow in discernment is to ask what is driving you. Is it love or insecurity? Obedience or people-pleasing? Wisdom or panic? Sometimes we label anxiety as discernment because the feeling is intense. Intensity is not the same as spiritual authority.
Being led also means allowing someone else to set the direction. We often want God to bless the route we have already chosen. But surrender says, “You lead; I follow.” That may mean changing plans, waiting longer than we prefer, saying no to something attractive, or stepping into something uncomfortable.
Today, slow your pace enough to distinguish being led from being driven. The Holy Spirit is a trustworthy guide. You do not have to force open doors He has not opened.
You do not have to be ruled by urgency. The Holy Spirit can lead you with clarity, wisdom, and peace even when life around you feels loud.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, lead me. Free me from fear, pressure, and people-pleasing. Teach me to recognize Your direction and to trust You enough to follow at Your pace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
