Key Scripture
James 1:22 (KJV)
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Devotional
Today is the final day of our October 19–25 Bible App plan, Managing Time and Money Wisely by Life.church. Take a moment to thank God for what He has shown you and consider how those lessons can shape your daily life.
James reminds believers to do what God’s Word teaches. Hearing truth is meaningful, but we can miss its purpose if we continue living without responding to what we have received.
Perhaps you have recognized a spending habit, a crowded schedule, or a responsibility that needs more attention. You may have been encouraged to create a plan, practice generosity, or protect time for what matters.
Sister, you do not need to change everything at once. Choose one clear response that you can practice consistently, and give it a place in your real routine. A manageable step is easier to continue than a vague promise to do better.
If you are still completing the readings, keep going without shame. The goal is to grow in wisdom and obedience. Let the end of this shared week become the beginning of habits that help you care more faithfully for what God has entrusted to you.
Heart Check
What specific change will I practice because of what I have learned?
Practice Today
- Complete the final reading, or continue from where you are.
- Write down one lesson and one practical response.
- Set a reminder to review that habit in one week.
Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me through Your Word. Help me carry what I have learned into my choices and routines. Give me discipline for one faithful step at a time, and keep my heart willing to obey. In Jesus’ name, amen.
