Devotional
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. That truth immediately removes competition from spiritual gifts. We are not meant to compare who appears more powerful, visible, eloquent, or impressive. The Spirit distributes gifts for the good of the body, not the elevation of the individual.
Some women spend so much time wishing they had someone else’s gift that they neglect what God has placed in their own hands. You may not lead from a stage, but perhaps you have unusual compassion. You may not teach publicly, but you encourage people in a way that restores courage. You may be gifted in wisdom, hospitality, administration, generosity, mercy, faith, discernment, or service.
Today begins our *Prayers Over My Children* Bible App plan. That is a beautiful reminder that spiritual gifts are not only for public ministry. The Holy Spirit equips us to serve faithfully in our homes too. A mother praying with discernment, patience, faith, and wisdom is exercising Spirit-enabled ministry in one of the most important places God has entrusted to her.
Instead of asking, “What gift makes me important?” ask, “How can the Spirit use me to strengthen someone else?” Gifts become beautiful when love becomes their motive.
Your gift has a purpose beyond you. Let the Holy Spirit show you how what He placed in you can strengthen your family, church, community, and the people He has entrusted to you.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, thank You for giving gifts according to Your wisdom. Free me from comparison and show me how You have equipped me to serve. Use my gifts in my home, church, community, and wherever You send me. Amen.
