Scripture “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you.” – Matthew 17:20 Devotional Jesus said faith like a mustard seed can move mountains. That encourages me because a mustard seed is small. Jesus did not say we needed perfect faith, loud faith, impressive faith, or faith that never struggles. He pointed to something tiny that carries life inside of it. Sister, do not count yourself out because your faith feels small today. …

Scripture “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” – Mark 11:22-24 Devotional This week we are talking about faith that prays boldly. And sister, I want us to be honest: sometimes we stop praying boldly because we have been disappointed before. We prayed and waited. We asked and cried. We believed and did not see what we expected. So without even realizing it, our …

Scripture “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth…” – 1 Peter 1:7 Devotional Sometimes when we are in a hard season, we start wondering if God is displeased with us or if we have been rejected. The fire can make us feel abandoned. The testing can make us question our worth. The delay can make us wonder if God has moved on. But sister, being refined is not the same as being …

Scripture “That the trial of your faith… might be found unto praise and honour and glory…” – 1 Peter 1:7 Devotional Pressure reveals what we run to. Some people run to control. Some run to complaining. Some run to isolation. Some run to distractions. But faith invites us to run to God, and one of the most powerful ways we do that is through worship. Worship in the pressure is not pretending everything is okay. It is choosing to remember …

Scripture “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” – James 1:3 Devotional Delay can test our faith in a unique way. When something takes longer than we expected, questions start rising. Did I hear God correctly? Did He forget me? Is this still possible? Should I stop believing? Should I take matters into my own hands? Sister, delay is one of the places where faith is refined. Waiting can expose whether our trust is in God’s promise …

Scripture “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work…” – James 1:2-4 Devotional James tells us that the trying of our faith produces patience, endurance, and maturity. Most of us want the maturity, but we do not enjoy the process that produces it. We want strong faith, but we would rather not go through the seasons that strengthen it. Endurance grows in places where quitting is tempting. It grows when we …

Scripture “But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods…” – Daniel 3:18 Devotional Daniel 3:18 gives us one of the strongest pictures of mature faith in the Bible. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego believed God was able to deliver them. But then they said, “But if not.” In other words, even if God does not do this the way we hope, we still will not bow. This is not weak faith. This …

Scripture “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace…” – Daniel 3:17 Devotional The three Hebrew boys stood before a fiery furnace and declared, “Our God is able.” They were not saying this from a comfortable place. They were not saying it after the miracle. They were saying it while the threat was still real and the fire was still in front of them. That is powerful faith. It …

Scripture “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth… might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” – 1 Peter 1:6-7 Devotional Faith that has never been tested can remain shallow. That does not mean God enjoys our pain or that every hard thing is easy to understand. But Scripture teaches us that trials can reveal and refine our faith in ways comfort never could. Peter …

Scripture “And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” – Luke 5:6 Devotional Peter’s obedience made room for a miracle. After he let down the net at the word of Jesus, the empty place became full. The same waters that seemed unproductive all night became the place of overflow when Jesus spoke and Peter obeyed. There is something powerful about a surrendered yes. We do not obey God only to get …
